Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S25 Ultra at its latest Unpacked event, and it’s clear the company is betting big on AI-powered features to differentiate its flagship from the competition.
Design Evolution
The S25 Ultra features a refined titanium frame with flatter edges, moving away from the curved display design that defined previous generations. The 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED display now pushes 3120 x 1440 resolution with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and Samsung claims it’s 20% brighter than its predecessor in outdoor conditions.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Under the Hood
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 12GB RAM, the S25 Ultra promises a 40% improvement in GPU performance and 35% better power efficiency. In our initial hands-on, the phone handled everything from split-screen multitasking to Genshin Impact at max settings without breaking a sweat.
Camera System: AI Takes the Wheel
The quad-camera setup includes a new 200MP main sensor with improved night mode processing. But the real story is Galaxy AI — Samsung’s on-device AI now handles real-time photo enhancement, object removal, and what Samsung calls “Generative Edit” for transforming your photos after the fact.
“This isn’t just a phone upgrade — it’s a platform shift toward AI-native mobile computing.” — TM Roh, Samsung Mobile President
Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy S25 Ultra starts at RM 5,799 in Malaysia and will be available starting February 7th. Pre-order customers receive a free storage upgrade and Galaxy Buds3 Pro.
